02.51B This quilt uses the "Star of Bethlehem" or "Lone Star" pattern and is constructed of bright cotton prints. Careful selection of colors makes this quilt very attractive.

Donated by Mary Foster Abrott

296 This quilt is made in the "Delectable Mountains " pattern in mixed fabrics. Very old and faded, the brown (formerly purple) blocks have worn down to warp threads. The colors are delightfully soft and the quilt is a lovely construction of warmth. The original muslin backing & cotton batting are intact.
This quilt was owned by the James McClees family, made in 1850's. Backed with white muslin, measures 6'8" square.

97.23 This enchanting Crazy Quilt is pieced of silk, satin and brocade in random patterns. The borders of each piece are embroidered with decorative stitches and some pieces are embellished with embroidered chenille ranch animals and flowers (click for close up). Bits of fraternal ribbons, award ribbons and patriotic patches are incorporated.
Belonged to Jenny Arbuckle.
Donated by Tassina Arbuckle Elder

590 This stunning quilt is made entirely of silk fabrics in jewel tones alternating with black. The quilt blocks are a variation of the Pineapple pattern, and the design creates a novel optical illusion when viewed from a distance: the round disks seem to vibrate & rotate! The edge is finished in scallops with a band of bobbin lace peeking from behind. No batting, backed with gold polished cotton.
From the household of donor's Grandmother, Stella Dunklee
Donated by Alice Jones
