of Bethlehem" or "Lone Star" pattern and is constructed
of bright cotton prints. Careful selection of colors makes this quilt
very attractive. |

296 This quilt is made in the "Delectable
Mountains " pattern in mixed fabrics. Very old and faded, the brown
(formerly purple) blocks have worn down to warp threads. The colors
are delightfully soft and the quilt is a lovely construction of warmth.
The original muslin backing & cotton batting are intact. |

590 This stunning quilt is made entirely
of silk fabrics in jewel tones alternating with black. The quilt blocks
are a variation of the Pineapple pattern, and the design creates a novel
optical illusion when viewed from a distance: the round disks seem to
vibrate & rotate! The edge is finished in scallops with a band of
bobbin lace peeking from behind. No batting, backed with gold polished
cotton. |
