2008 Winners--See the winning quilts!

Quilts displayed above Olson's Stoneware on Main StreetThis October, the scenic mountain hamlet of Weaverville will wrap itself in cozy quilts. Your hosts, the Thursday Night Strippers Quilt Guild, invite you to a town-wide quilt show spanning the entire Historic District. Balconies, railings, store fronts and fencelines will be graced with the quilter's art--a quarter mile of quilts!

Shopping opportunities abound! Local shops offer unique items and quilting vendors will populate the Highland Meadow. Be sure to pick up a Quilt Show program at our Welcome Booth, first booth on the right as you enter the meadow. The program has handy maps, schedules, coupons and may contain a winning ticket for a door prize. Event T-shirts, mugs and gift cards are also available--your purchase supports this quilt event.

NEW! This year marks a new event--an auction of quilts made by local guild members. Coordinated by the Log Cabin Quilt Guild of Hayfork, you will be able to bid and win fabulous quilt creations. Dozens of colorful quilts will be offered for your perusal and purchase. See the auction quilts displayed at the Highland Art Center grounds, then join the auction action in the Highland Meadow that afternoon.

As an added bonus, enjoy the fall colors of the Trinity Alps. The weather in October is the finest of the year, with pleasantly warm days and cool evenings. Majestic Alpine peaks surround the valley of Weaverville offering grand views in all directions and autumn leaves complement the colorful quilts.
