Winsome picture of young boy showing glimpse of his undershirtPhotographs of children abound, so their clothing was well documented.  Fashions for children ranged from elaborate high fashions worn by the leisure classes to homey, practical working class garb for serious play.

Dressing your children in period correct attire is additionally challenging since they outgrow their clothes quickly.   Fannie & Vera are here to help you get the younguns' outfitted without breaking your budget.

We primarily feature those clothing styles worn by the middle and working classes.  These styles are simpler to duplicate using modern materials and resources.  This is also a more correct impression of the era.  Life was tough, work was hard, and getting by was a struggle for most families.  Only the privileged few were able to indulge in the latest fashions and elaborate garments.  These children live in an army camp. They have accompanied their mother who is a Regimental Laundress
