Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from the Bridge, here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more pain or sadness, here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through.
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

"Let us thank God for those special and much loved little creatures, our Pets,
who have so brightened our lives with their gift of love to us."

"I remember our first day together, you were so small you fit in my jacket pocket.
You snuggled up close and stayed there untill we reached our home.
Just a tiny white ball of fur, you were barely old enough to be away from your mother."

"You used to love to chase the little dogs "

"Precious and few are the moments we two can share."

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief,
Lift up your heart and share with me;
God healed me now, he set me free.

Pouncequick was 18 years old and had Advanced Kidney Disease.
On the morning of Feb 3rd, 2008 with dreams of my cat Teddy Bear still fresh on my mind,
I had awaken to the sound of Pouncequick crying out..
She was to leave us that day and she was already trying to pass on...
We took her to the vets and held her in our arms before laying her down on the table...
This year had been so hard for her and she missed Teddy Bear so much, they loved each other so.
She died on the same day exactly one year later as he did
She was so weakened by this aweful disease, I can hardly believe how much it had taken from her.
There was nothing left we could do but end her suffering.
We miss her so much and there is a hole in our hearts that will never be filled by any other cat.
Now they are finally together and frolicking like they used to..
