MS

I really am still learning about Multiple Sclerosis.
When I began my relationship with my fiancé multiple Sclerosis became an important thing in my life.  My
fiancé's mother is afflicted with the illness.

I am proud to say that her family has been very
supportive of her.  I wish that there was more that I
could do for her but she is a long ways from me.

MS is a autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system.  It affects the Myelin, fatty tissue, that surrounds and affects the nerve fibers.
In MS the Myelin is lost in multiple areas causing scars. These scars are called Sclerosis.
This being the name "Multiple Sclerosis".

With the Myelin gone the nervous system is unable to send electronically impulses where they need to go. Because of this it causes all the symptoms of MS.

Some of the symptoms of Ms are Bladder Dysfunction, Bowel Dysfunction, Cognitive Problems, Dizziness & Vertigo, Emotional Problems, Fatigue, Walking Problems, Headaches, Hearing Loss, Itching, Numbness, Pain, Seizures, Sexual Dysfunction, Spasticity, Speech & Swallowing Disorders, Tremors, and Vision Problems.
