BLUE ROBES

Recently I have learned from two sources, one from the New Guinea tape where Angel Gabriel came back to the little boy in a Blue Robe. What did that mean? Then recently a lady had a dream where Jesus appeared in a Blue Robe. So I have learned to go back to Bible and try to find out what this might mean.

In Exodus 28:2, where Moses is receiving the instructions for making, "holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty." In verse 15, "And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work;" which Aaron would wear when he went in before the Lord. Verse 31, "And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue." In Numbers 15:37-40 we are told what this means. "And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 'Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put them upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue: And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring: That ye may remember, and do all My commandments, and be holy unto your God."

Pastor Tucker in Finding God Through the Sanctuary, states that in the Hebrew language the word for "blue" is kalah or kaloth, which means righteousness, virtue, or perfection. "So when God said they were to put the blue in the door it indicatively meant righteousness and virtue of the law of God. So you look upon it and remember the righteous character of God." In the story of Matthew 9:20-22, the woman with continual hemorrhage saw Jesus with His white garment, with the blue ribbon around the bottom. She knew what that blue ribbon meant, what she needed, so she touched the hem of His garment. And Jesus said, "I preceive that righteousness or virtue has gone out of my life."

On the Day of Atonement the High Priest changed his garments before he went into the Most Holy Place. In Leviticus 16, he first offered a sin offering and a burnt offering for himself. He then put on the holy garments, one of which was blue. He then after purification went into the Most Holy Place, where he made atonement for himself and the congregation. He then took the two goats, and lots were cast, one for the Lord and one was to be the scapegoat. When he came out he took off these special garments and put on his regular garments.

We now live in the Great Day of Atonement, and our Lord Jesus Christ, our High Priest in the Heavenly Sanctuary, is presently finishing His ministry, which He started with Blue Robes, and now has changed to the robes of Judgment, and put on the Red Robes of vengence.
