In Joel 2:28-29, it states: “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My spirit." Of course this passage found fulfillment in "the day of Pentecost," but it also applies to time of end as stated in verse 31, ". . . and the terrible day of the Lord come." Since we are now living just before "the day of the Lord" we should not be surprised that many false prophets should arise, but also God would give courage to his true people by sending Visions and Dreams to various people all over the world. Ellen White also alluded to the fact that visions would come in "last day" as stated in Early Writings, page 78: "I recommend to you, dear reader, the Word of God as the rule of your faith and practice. By that Word we are to be judged. God has, in that Word, promised to give visions in the "last days," not for a new rule of faith, but for the comfort of His people, and to correct those who err from Bible truth." On page 279 of Early Writings she states: "I was pointed down to the time when the third angel's message was closing. The power of God had rested upon His people; they had accomplished their work and were prepared for the trying hour before them. They had received the latter rain, or refreshing from the presence of the Lord, and the living testimony had been revived." This renewal of "living testimony" would be the spirit of prophecy, or the return of visions and dreams to His people. In 2 Selected Messages, there is a chapter entitled TO BE ON GUARD, I recommended that you read the entire chapter. The following are a few quotes from that chapter. On page 96, "Those who cling to the Word will not throw open the doors for Satan by making unguarded statements in reference to prophesying or to dreams and visions. . . When the Lord has a genuine channel of light, there are always plenty of counterfeits. Satan will surely enter any door thrown open for him. . . In God's dealings with His people, all is quiet; with those who trust in Him, all is calm and unpretending. There will be simple, true, earnest believers in the Bible, and there will be doers of the Word as well as hearers. There will be sound, earnest, sensible waiting upon the God. The believer will hang his helpless soul on Jesus Christ. Christ will be exalted. Working and praying, watching and waiting, is our position.” Letter 102, 1894. She then gives the tests we are to apply to all visions and dreams, 1) to be tested by the Law and the Testimony (Isaiah 8:20); 2) to be tested by their fruits; and 3) any exhibition of claims or "peculiar manifestations, this is a decided evidence that it is not the work of God." Some in the Historic Movement refuse to even read any visions or dreams for fear of being deceived. Then without testing or reading to see if they are in harmony with the Bible and Ellen White, then why not accept the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In THE THUNDER OF JUSTICE, on page 207 it states of the Medjugorge apparitions: "The experience in which they see her is a fact that can be checked by direct observation. It has been filmed. During the apparitions, the youngsters do not react to light, they do not hear sounds, they do not react if someone touches them, they feel that they are beyond time and space." The tests we applied to Ellen White the Devil has already copied, so there is only one way to tell a true prophet, TO THE LAW AND THE TESTIMONY! Many Adventists are looking for events that are not going to happen the way they thought. I always read visons or dreams and test them as to their source, and in the process they have sent me back to study both Bible and Spirit of Prophecy. Go back and reread the last 5 chapters of GREAT CONTROVERSY, they now take on a new meaning, that we can now actually see it coming true on the evening news. With the new dreams given to Ernie Knoll, which are in harmony with Ellen White and Bible, then we have some real rethinking to do. Jesus could have come after 1888, but the Church went into apostasy and had gone deeper into apostasy every year since. In Steps to Christ, page 109, it states: "God intends that even in this life the truths of His word shall be ever unfolding to His people. There is only one way in which this knowledge can be obtained. We can attain to an understanding of God's word only through the illumination of that Spirit by which the word was given. . . God desires man to exercise his reasoning powers; and the study of the Bible will strengthen and elevate the mind as no other study can." And on page 112 it states: "When the people of God are growing in grace, they will be constantly obtaining a clearer understanding of His word. They will discern new light and beauty in its sacred truths.” Doesn't God always pick the least of the least to give his messages and dreams to? The test for our time is found in Revelation 3:20: "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me." So when you read Ernie Knoll's Visions, will you hear the voice of the Spirit or you will reject it. So why will you read THE THUNDER OF JUSTICE, but you will not read these VISIONS???
